Suzanne Ladd, a partner at Wake Family Law Group, is a board certified family law specialist who focuses on trial and appellate work, as well as alternative dispute resolution methods such as collaborative law and mediation.
A North Carolina native, she received her undergraduate and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1993 and 1997, respectively. During law school, Ms. Ladd was a member of the Holderness Moot Court National Team and the Order of the Barristers, and the recipient of an Exemplary Public Service award from the National Association for Public Interest Law.
Following law school, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable John B. Lewis, Jr. of the North Carolina Court of Appeals.
Ms. Ladd is a member of the Wake County Bar Association, the Wake County Collaborative Law Group, the North Carolina Bar Association and the Family Law and Juvenile Justice and Children’s Rights sections of the North Carolina Bar Association.
She has spoken at continuing education programs related to family law on the topics of pre-trial motions and the rights of unmarried persons. She also has served as a member of the Juvenile Justice and Children’s Rights Section Council and as the editor of, and regular contributor to, the section’s newsletter.
