When a group of experienced Wake County, North Carolina family law attorneys realized they could serve their clients more effectively and efficiently by working together, Wake Family Law Group was born.

The Raleigh practice was formed in 2005 by a collection of board certified family law specialists — Marc Sokol, Cathy McLamb, Michael Schilawski, Helen Oliver and Suzanne Ladd — who shared a common desire to provide greater resources for clients struggling with separation and divorce-related issues in North Carolina. In late 2006, Nancy L. Grace joined the firm as a principal.
